The technique utilizes specially designed stainless steel instruments to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation. Myofascial release is a movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves that generally result from overuse.
Being an active participant in your own care is integral to achieving fast, effective, and lasting results in any treatment. During your course of treatment therapeutic exercises aimed at improving mobility and preventing future injury are integrated into your care plan. Patients begin exercise programs under guidance at our clinic but then progress to performing them on their own at home. An exercise program will typically begin with stretching and movements aimed at restoring full range of motion. As the program progresses strengthening and coordination exercises will be added.
